Matthew 5:7

The message reminds us that seeing a need, feeling compassion, and doing something about it are the three inseparable movements of a merciful life. And here is the deeper spiritual insight, that the mercy we show others is not something we manufacture on our own. It flows directly from the mercy we have already received from God. We were spiritually broken on the side of the road, and God stopped for us. That reality should change everything about how we see and respond to the people around us.
